Challenges for CSK in IPL 2021
There was a lot of questions and confusions
behind where the IPL was going to be played
BCCI has rested all these spectulations
By releasing IPL 2021 schedule
This is an IPL we haven't seen before
That is as far as venues are concerned, we haven't seen such an IPL before
Challenges for CSK in IPL 2021
And BCCI has announced such a schedule
Chennai Super Kings 2021
IPL 2021 venues are...
Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi..
Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Bangalore
The BCCI has announced that IPL 2021 will be played in these venues
An important aspect is that, no team will play home matches
As in Chennai Super Kings will not play in Chennai
And Mumbai Indians will not play in Mumbaia
In fact the exact opposite has happened
Mumbai Indians are going to play 5 matches in Chepauk, Chennai's home ground
Similarly, Chennai Super Kings are going to play
5 matches in Mumbai's home ground Wankhede Stadium
So they are going to play in a venue
directly opposite to their home venue
BCCI did not want any team to have an
home advantage and hence took this decision
Last phase of the tournament
That is qualifier, eliminator and finals
These matches are going to be played in
Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad this year
It is an important point that this is an IPL
where all teams have such different challenges to face
Chennai Super Kings are going to play in Wankhede
Considering that Chennai is a spin oriented team
A team suitable for Chepauk conditions
Wankhede Stadium is more of a pace and bounce pitch, producing less turn
How will that suit Chennai?
Whereas Mumbai Indians are going to play in Chepauk
Which has a drier surface producing more turn, a slower wicket
But their attack consists of many fast bowlers
Batsmen too plays well those balls that comes straight to the bat
Batsmen love playing such balls
So franchises are definitely going to face these kind of challenges
Where teams play in conditions
that are not their strongest suit
It is going to be interesting to see how franchises handle it
So as far as the schedule is concerned...
Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad will play 5 games in Chepauk, Chennai
Royal Challengers and Delhi Capitals will play 5 games in Kolkata
Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals
are going to play 5 games in Mumbai
Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab
will play 5 games in Bangalore
There will be a total of 10 matches in our home ground, Chepauk
and 10 matches in Wankhede, Mumbai in IPL 2021
Recently because Covid cases are increasing and since
players will have to stay in bubble and play games
BCCI was certain to host IPL 2021 in India itself
So because of this reason they made such a
schedule where the teams play in different venues
At the same time giving one team an home advantage
will become a disadvantage for another
So it was only after considering such factors
BCCI has come up with this decision
We will wait patiently to watch this year's IPL
An IPL that we haven't seen before
Totally neutral venues
Totally different venues
A very exciting IPL awaits us
